Too wrong.
25th-Jul-2007 01:00 am - Harvey Birdman, 2001-2007... RIP
Harvey Birdman, Attourney at Law. For those of you who haven't seen the series, this is probably the closest thing out there to capturing the POTG spirit. My colleagues and I consider this to be a monument to our own culture. Sadly, last Sunday the final episode aired. We mourn the end of an era. The show shall be remembered through candlelightings and witty references to obscure scenes.
18th-Jul-2007 11:43 pm - New Format
So, as you can see from my hiatus, I don't get into talking about my personal life or my day. I'd rather do that in the company of people, not in front of a monitor. So what can I use this space for? What do I have to say? I like laughter. I like things that make me laugh. And things that make me laugh are not always funny to other people, but maybe it's just cause they don't get it. So, I'll MAKE you get it!

I'm part of Planet of the Grapes, as some of you may know. Planet of the Grapes features a comedy podcast and stories containing some very abstract and absurd humor. Gone are the days of fart jokes. Welcome the new era of POTG! All Journal long, I'll be posting about things in life that contain the POTG spirit, as a map of my humor for all to follow to the X (actually, it's a Y on my map, and there's no treasure... just a paper trail of bank receipts and candy wrappers--- I like tuna now). END!

You are...

GRIMACE!!!

Grimace

You are likely to own a battleship, as well as have people support your becoming monarch of a country you have no ties to. You calmly and quietly influence politics while making no secret of your scandalous partying. You may have to help your troubled siblings deal with their fear of harlequins, sometimes use the word "fun" as an expletive, and have invested in Hawaiian Tropics stock.

25th-Jan-2007 02:36 pm - job update
Well, I just finish my first freelance web job, and I got paid today! Squeee! It's not much, but at least I'm making connections.
15th-Jan-2007 02:20 am - Big Day Tomorrow
Tomorrow, I have a job interview. Last interview I had was in August. Here's to hoping it'll bring something good. Also, Elli has a third and hopefully final callback to a musical/play about Jewish storyteller and musician Shlomo Carlebach. Pretty damn big. Then we'll meet up with Albert for a bit, and later we'll go see "Bobby" for free. It pays to have a boyfriend in SAG :D
2nd-Jan-2007 04:03 am - New Year
Happy 2007 to all!

Many people have agreed that 2006 has been a somewhat limp year. I want to agree too, but a big part of me feels it was necessary. For me, 2006 was a huge reset button... hopefully the last. I've spent too much of my life starting over. I always said I had multiple lives, like a cat. I believe this is my sixth life. The last one ended early in the year, and my rebirth has taken a while. Here's to hoping that I get it right this time.

Now for the resolutions:

Get a job that can afford an apartment

Get an apartment

Get Planet of the Grapes written up in at least three journals

Earn $500 through Planet of the Grapes

Get Nuclear O'Reilly music played by one DJ in a club

Develop my range of character voices

Imrpove my improv skills

Perform with CROWD again

Meet new people for the sake of meeting new people, not potential customers for my creative endeavors

Get good at selling my creative endeavors

Make one film

There's a lot on my plate. It's time I stopped leaving leftovers.
10th-Dec-2006 02:48 am - will work for work
Yeah, I know it's been a while.

As time continues to swirl around me, change comes so rapidly. I need work. I won't have much to do at Bridge very soon, and I desperately need the money. Paige, I could use your opinions on a few things concerning graphics. I have a portfolio online: www.flickr.com/photos/napoliello - if you could take a look at that, maybe we can meet up in the city one night and talk about that sort of thing.

It sucks having such limited experience. I can't even get a frucking (I know...) interview. I guess they're right: jack of all trades, master of none.

The only thing I'm a master at are my two worlds: my fantasy world and my POTG world. At least with POTG, I already have a team. So I'm gonna roll with it. Hopefully, by this time next year, I'll be posting from a new home.
